The Organic Adventures of Jennie and Robbie...and the newest addition Baby Robbie!: February 2010

Wow I haven't written on here in a few days. huh! Well there hasn't been much to say. We have been snowed in! Lots and lots of snow and have only ventured out once or twice for groceries or dinner or something. Everyone has had the entire week off until today Robbie had to return to work. The snow is piled up everywhere, some piles taller than I am. Most actually. We have continued to work on the house and it is coming along. We are keeping warm (well I have to fight the boys over the thermostat, haha). The animals are doing well.
The boys did have to get on the roof one day and shovel the snow off the roof because it can damage it with too much snow. They did this before the second blizzard hit..

Ok so I have been waiting to post this to make sure I wasn't crazy. And I'm not! The North is driving my body to do abnormal things.
1. Hair growth. My hair grows like 5 times as fast. I shave my armpits like 3 times a day here. And I am not kidding I am now the proud owner of HALF A MUSTACHE. Really? If I'm going to need a mustache, you'd think they would've just given me a full one... Robbie says he can't see it, but trust me, I know when there is new foreign hair ON MY FACE! haha.. not funny... but a little funny...
And if you don't know, I am also the most gray haired 20 year old in America I am sure... naturally that is. And my hair has probably grown like 2 inches since I got here (not kidding) and the gray roots are now GLISTENING THROUGH. And I'm not sure if it is the light shining off of the snow that is illuminating the silver strands or again the North just bringing out the best in me...Either way, I need to pick up some dye. Maybe that will be one of my snowed in adventures.
2. My skin is so dry. I lotion up, and still dry. My lips have permanent chap. I apply chapstick all day and they just laugh at me. And my feet, they do not know what to do now that they are in shoes everyday. I have not worn shoes this much...ever.... and socks... My feet are trying to be soft and lovely, but they are fighting it. I do still wear my flip flops in the house all day. That's when they are like "sigh..home.." :) They don't know wether to be dry and flaky from the flip flops or soft and normal from shoes. I am not sure what they will decide. I will update you on that at another post. My face also is another one of those areas that hasn't decided what to do. Another fact about me is I have acne like a 13 year old boy. I always have. It's no fun at all, but that's life. So now, I have super dry skin face and acne! haha. I try to put lotion on it becuase they say thats good for your skin, but I am pretty sure the lotion just made me break out worse... maybe I should go see someone at one of the makeup stands. Like Clinique or something. You know those places that I have been avoiding forever, because they are so expensive and once you start using you become addicted and cant ever stop... Maybe its because theire products work?? I don't know, they could be onto something. Dangit. I think I am going to have to give in to the makeup people.
3. On a good note, my hair has gotten super long, which I love and no humidity so it's pretty easy to take care of. Blow dry and go. I don't have to straighten it everyday and put a bunch of crap in it to maintain the friz.

A few updates on the real world, if you see the post right below this one that says Posted by Man Sausage.... yes that is none other than Robbie. I created an account for him to post blogs if he ever wanted to, and that is the name he chose. :) So when you see that, know that it is from His heart.
Today it just started snowing and we are going to be snowed in this weekend. It is supposed to snow until tomorrow evening. Approx. 2 feet of snow they say!! I am excited, but no one else is. haha We will not be able to leave the house, but we will get lots of work done!! I am heading out to grocery store now, to stock up on some last minute essentials.
